In 1929, actor George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is a bona fide matinee idol with many adoring fans. The growing popularity of sound in movies further separates the potential lovers, as George's career begins to fade while Peppy's star rises. Release Date:11/25/2011
Was a bit weary of a silent movie but was quickly blown away. Because its silent, I really noticed the great direction, acting and score. Jean dujardin and Bernice bejo are spot on as the lead characters. Tells a thorough story with no words.
